The acronym is really an old joke among slacker friends… people with nothing else to do.

It stuck.

Now it’s registered and legal.

And it’s as unique as the music it represents.

I started playing and composing music at about 10 and joined a bizzillion rock bands. The schools I attended led to the involvement of radio broadcasting and production. Throughout college, I cut my teeth at several music studios on the east coast.

Post-college, Los Angeles was my logical move and I landed a job at a studio within a music school in Hollywood. A few years later after countless sessions and four years of instructing students on the art of music recording and editing music, I found myself freelancing in an abundance of music studios in LA as both a recording engineer (the old school type, remember tape?) and a ProTools editor.

More years passed and my editing background landed me work in the post production community. In addition, I have found that the crossover of music and post production has been very instrumental to my involvement with music licensing.

Currently, I find myself enjoying all of these avenues equally. I feel satisfied with my past achievements, and now concentrate on projects of personal particular interest.
